Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Support:
- Assist in supervising staff, including teachers, and support staff.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, including new hires and substitutes.
- Assist with staff training, development, and evaluation.
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment.

Program Implementation and Compliance:
- Assist in developing and implementing program policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and licensing requirements.
- Monitor classrooms for compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including child and staff records.

Communication and Parent/Community Engagement:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
Assist in organizing parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and other events.
Represent the childcare center in a positive and professional manner.

Daily Operations:
- Assist in the daily operation of the childcare center, including managing schedules, activities, and transitions.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Curriculum and Instruction:
- Assist in the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Support classroom teachers in their instructional activities.
- Observe and assess children's development and progress.

Other Duties:
- Assist with staff recruitment and hiring.
- Assist with budget management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Relevant experience in early childhood education or child care.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of child care laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
