We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Child Care Center Director to join our team.

This is a management level position. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Support:
    • Assist in supervising staff, including teachers, and support staff. 
    • Provide guidance and support to staff, including new hires and substitutes. 
    • Assist with staff training, development, and evaluation. 
    • Maintain a positive and supportive work environment. 

  • Program Implementation and Compliance:
    • Assist in developing and implementing program policies and procedures. 
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and licensing requirements. 
    • Monitor classrooms for compliance with safety standards and regulations. 
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including child and staff records. 

  • Communication and Parent/Community Engagement:
    • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, staff, and other stakeholders. 
      Assist in organizing parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and other events. 
      Represent the childcare center in a positive and professional manner. 

  • Daily Operations:
    • Assist in the daily operation of the childcare center, including managing schedules, activities, and transitions. 
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children. 
    • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment. 

  • Curriculum and Instruction:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and activities. 
    • Support classroom teachers in their instructional activities. 
    • Observe and assess children's development and progress. 

  • Other Duties:
    • Assist with staff recruitment and hiring. 
    • Assist with budget management. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education and Experience:
    • Relevant experience in early childhood education or child care. 
    • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent. 
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 

  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
    • Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff. 
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 
    • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices. 
    • Knowledge of child care laws and regulations. 
    • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. 
    • First Aid and CPR certification.

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
